I am sure mllions of people around the world and in the US are still laughing about the Bush shoe throwing incident. I am thinking 90% of people do not like him. Aprrox how many people in the world do you think wanted the shoes to hit him? Do you think he dererved it?

Man, the only way that could have been better if the shoe actually hit him…even if it did he would still be laughing. that idiot…that man deserved the humiliation! that guy who threw it was not trying to get a few laughs, in fact he probably got 2,000,000,000 but the journalist said to him while he threw the shoes: "this is your farewell kiss, you dog!, *when they tackled him* "this is for all the widows and the orphans and all the people who died!" the sad thing about it was that bush had no clue what was going on and why he threw the shoe at him! the stuppid brute…ah…its going to be in my granchildren’s textbook that he almost got hit with a shoe! Classic ^_^

Count me in!! The only thing about the shoe incident that I found dissapointing was that the reporter had bad aiming. Nonetheless even if the shoe had hit him and caused a bruise or concusion, that would not be anywhere near payback to what he has put the American People through or the rest of the world.

LOL OMG I laughed so hard I had tears … I called my friends and we all laughed hysterically then I secretly thought to myself, just picturing for a good minute the foot stamp on his face if it had hit him, seeing it papers the next day with a deranged foot stamped face on bush and the guy in jail making a toast with the guards on a memorable victory … and YES i am still laughing, this MADE MY DAY!

i am not the hugest fan president dumb ass…but that shoe throwing was highly inappropriate…what if it were something worse? a knife or something more blunt then a shoe? i think in a way he deserves to be taken down a peg or two…..but not through violence (even if it is JUST a shoe)

From what my mother told me whom came from Iraq, it is a huge insult to throw a shoe at someone, even the attempt of it is as big as whether it hit him or not, I doubt it would have hurt him much though.

I thought It was pretty hilarious how well he blocked it. Just like he knew exactly what was coming. But it probably would have been better if he would have been hit.

If though he deserves it.
We must leave him to God, God is the avenger of evil doing.
We must also look at the man who throw the shoe it was out of rage and anger.
Even if the shoe hit him, that will not change what he has done to the American people, to those people. How we have been turned as enemies.
We are not longer acting like human beings.
So we got some laughs from the shoe incident but what the people are saying in this is " No more lying cheating satan government who kill innocent and rob the poor"

few people r saying here that Bush wanted to give democracy to Iraqis. Is war the only way to give freedom n democracy??? and that tooo by killing millions of innocent people. If any american soldier was killed there, the american media and Bush BAS**** said that he’ll kill the militants (according to him the enemies of democracy) But about those innocent small kids and women and teenagers who r killed ??? were they militants too???? HE DESERVED THE SHOE. in fact he deserves to be hit by shoes by the whole world.

I am sure there are people around the world that wanted him to get hit. Good thing it was only a shoe. In America (and other countries) if someone threw a shoe at you it would be a definite sign they don’t like you. However, in the muslim world it is an extreme insult. Good thing it wasn’t me because if a muslim guy threw a shoe at me. I would hit him in the face with a boot. Unlike Bush the older I get the less humor I have. Don’t get me wrong I laugh but only at certain things. I kind of find it funny since the guy couldn’t aim.

i did but I have been joking about how the shoe throwers was trying to give him a message & as usual, Ok ready, (((drum roll)) it went right over his head!!! Anyway, I was looking for the cons who are saying ‘what would Obama have done". I want tell them that BO would have grabbed the shoe & thrown it into the waste basket on the other side of the room. hopefully more people than less, I’m worried about the guy that threw the shoe personally. According to democracy now he’s in an Iraqi prison and is suffering from a broken hand broken ribs and internal bleeding! I really i wish the shoe had hit him for that guy, because he would die knowing that he at least got to give bush a good knock in the face, but he’s still going out a hero i suppose. did Bush deserve it?! of course! He deserves much worse!

It was was the most hilarious thing I have seen in years and I believe he deserved it! I bet if there was a poll it would be for a shoe to have hit him. My b/f and I were laughing about it last night and it was too funny to think about, what if the next time you have the opportunity to see and talk to the president you have to take your shoes off before you can enter. LOL It was classic funny and that is a great way for him to exit, as he is a joke in the making.

OH YES !!! I replayed the scene over in my head & if the guy was off to the right of Bush & if Bush had turned his head to the left to talk to the other guy at the podium he would of gotten a better shot, at least with one shoe.

loooooooooooool After the incident Bush said that the shoe was a size 10 as a joke..maybe he unconsciously expected a bigger shoe like size 14 or something. haha he wasn’t the brightest president but in all fairness I don’t think it was appropriate. I can see where the journalist was coming from, after eight years someone had to let it go at some point…and that’s what he did when he threw the shoe. He aimed very well, he certainly thought about it. Also, I was surprise by Bush reflexes. Now I know why he looks so anxious during his speeches…my guess to your question would be millions, actually I would go for 1 billion people out of 6. however, it doesn’t make it right

Regardless of whether or not he deserved it, that is a matter of personal opinion.
I do find it amusing though, the lack of integrative complexity involved in every other answer involved here. If you watch the video again though you do see Bush wave off the secret service.

I Hope all of you Know that throwing a shoe at the United States of America’s president is an insult to every American, That is very disrespectful to not only Bush but to the everyday American, Whether you like him or not (and i dont) we did elected him, maybe you personally did not vote for him but he is our president and our leader.
